FastingDuo (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information transparently and securely. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we store and protect it, and your rights regarding your information.

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the fasting tracking functionality of the app. When you create an account, we may collect your name (if provided) and your email address for authentication and account management purposes. In order to provide the core functionality of the app, we collect the fasting session information that you voluntarily enter, including session start time, end time, selected protocol, and related statistics. We also collect app preferences and settings to personalize your experience. Additionally, we may collect limited technical information such as app version and operating system version for debugging, performance monitoring, and service reliability purposes. We do not collect sensitive health data beyond the fasting session information you choose to input into the app.

We use your information solely to provide and maintain the FastingDuo service. This includes enabling fasting tracking, synchronizing your data across devices when cloud sync is enabled, securing authentication, improving app performance, and providing customer support. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

FastingDuo uses a hybrid storage model. Your data is stored locally on your device using secure app storage. If cloud synchronization is enabled, your data is also stored securely on our backend infrastructure powered by Supabase. Data transmission between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures, including access controls and role-based permissions, to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We may share limited data only with infrastructure and hosting providers strictly for the purpose of operating and maintaining the service, and only under confidentiality and data protection obligations. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.

We retain your data only for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account at any time through the Delete Account option within the app. When you delete your account, all cloud-stored personal data associated with your account will be permanently deleted within a reasonable timeframe. Local data stored on your device can be removed by deleting your account or uninstalling the app.

Depending on your jurisdiction, including under applicable data protection laws such as the GDPR in the European Union or KVKK in Turkey, you may have the right to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your data, export your fasting history, withdraw consent where applicable, and object to or restrict certain types of processing. You may exercise these rights through the app settings or by contacting us directly.

If cloud synchronization is enabled, your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. In such cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

FastingDuo is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be reflected by revising the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
